♥ spontaneity
there is beauty in spontaneity, doing things unplanned and letting things flow. i always found planning rigid and boring, i find the thrill in letting go of your responsibilities and urgent matters for just one day, take over the wheel and drive wherever your gut takes you. it reduces stress and expectations, i find this helpful because when i expect, i really expect things to be done, and if it doesn't i get major disappointed. spontaneity. yes, free-spirited and game in nature. i would love to embody spontaneity, its freedom from harsh and rigid boundaries that obstruct our creativity and artistry.

♥ love in the cornhusks
this is my first time posting a review... particularly, a review about a short story. 'Love in the Cornhusks' by Aida Rivera-Ford. the story was about tinang who after two years went back to visit her senora with her baby. her marriage with the bagobo only seemed to produce more poverty and misery. whilst her visit her senora acknowledged tinang that she has a letter in the drugstore. she got the letter and headed back home despite the heavy downpour, but paranoid that the letter contained bad news, she put down her baby by the camansi tree and read the letter. it was though, a love letter from a former flame, amado. her love rekindled whilst reading the letter, and it seems that it was amado she loved all along. however, her reminiscing was interrupted when she noticed a green snake slithering and saved her baby just in time, now ignoring the letter in the ground. i love how the author wove the story, her magic captured me, i smelled the kitchen spices and the agua de colonia and felt the heat of the sun and i wasn't even there. the author tries to point out that despite our idealistic dreams and wishes of our past, it is important to move on and think about the present and the future. be unwavered and don't let fantasy take you over, because it will make you ignore your real responsibilities in life.

♥ babliblibablah.
i'm not assuming or anything, but you know when you know. we had a hard time understanding each other because of the language barrier, he knew english but it's not his best language. but then he freaked me out the very first time we met--he had this really big shades on i don't know where he's really looking at, and his face where so close to mine. things got worse later on, he always sat next to me and treated me out. he told a friend of mine he liked 'the tall one', which my friend later warned, 'watch out, or a black honda civic will run you over!'

♥ beautiful tragedy
she is beautiful poetry,
porcelain doll in a velvet dress
drinking tea on china cups and dainty plates
but her love is poison
she'll bound you in chains
'tis masquerade butchery,
men gaped at her mask
but loathe the monster beneath
the tragedy starts to unfold.
and she whispers,
'there's a halo above my head
am i alive or dead?
a dagger's following me around,
are these scars for real?
'cause i don't feel a thing
a voice keeps telling me to kill me
but my strength has lost an arm.'
see, that's the beauty of tragedy
death loved her,
we know she'll die in the end
everyone mourns.
curtain closes.
we hear applaud.
